Lynn began The Finer Points after several years of planning experience working at both Westfields Marriott and Lansdowne Resort in the Catering Sales Department as a Senior Catering Manager. This experience has been tremendously valuable to her, as she understands events on the venue side and understands her client’s needs and how to best achieve them! She has also met many amazing vendors over her 20+ years in the business which is an invaluable asset to her clients. Lynn has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Human Resource Management from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, and a certification in Event Management from George Washington University. She attended the first year Event Management Certification program offered at George Washington University, which was an excellent experience, where she interned with Creative Parties in Bethesda on a benefit for Make-a-Wish Foundation. Lynn is on the Visit Loudoun Wedding Advisory Board, as well as a member of Hunt Country Celebrations. She recently became a Certified Tourism Ambassador which only strengthens her knowledge of Loudoun County and tourism in the DC Metropolitan area in general. Lynn has an ever calming and collected demeaner which carries throughout the planning process and helps maintain a stress-free experience for her clients. Lynn is a loving wife to her high school sweetheart and mother of two college age children. In her free time, there is no place she’d rather be than on the field, watching her daughter play field hockey and son play baseball! Lynn enjoys cooking, yoga, Zumba, and taking long walks with her friends. She loves her sweet pups, Roxy and Riley. Roxy is a 13-year-old German Shepherd and Riley is a 5-year-old Samoyed. The idea to get a Samoyed was inspired when Lynn and her daughter fell in love with a Samoyed after seeing him take part in her client’s wedding. She brings Riley to some of her appointments in the studio so if you are a dog-lover please ask her to bring him along on your next appointment!

What is your favorite part of a wedding?
"My favorite part of the wedding is when the bride and groom get the opportunity to get a private viewing of transformed ballroom before the guests arrive. It’s usually only takes a few minutes but It’s a special moment for them to see their dreams come into fruition….and all of the hard work and planning has paid off. After the guests arrive; it’s party time!"

What is your favorite part about planning a wedding?
"My favorite part of every wedding is the special dances. From the emotional first dance shared by newlyweds to the heartfelt parent dances, each special dance holds a unique significance without having to speak any words and I find there is true magic in that. I feel very lucky to have witnessed so many special dances and heard so many different love stories."
Rachel Neimeier is an event planner who thrives at the intersection of creativity, logistics, and people. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Penn State University and is Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM).
Her career began in New York City, where she gravitated toward creative, fast-moving environments—working at the Virgin Record Store in Times Square, interning with Martha Stewart, and later supporting productions for David Lynch and the final season of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Those early roles shaped her belief that the best events feel effortless because someone is quietly managing the details behind the scenes.
Rachel later transitioned into corporate and large-scale events, planning everything from intimate executive meetings to international conferences, NATO Summits, Presidential Inaugural Balls, and two of North America’s Top 50 trade shows. Over more than a decade in the industry, she has worked across a wide range of sectors—from private aviation to commercial printing—managing complex logistics while keeping events running smoothly. Her work has taken her across Asia and Europe, and she has traveled to 21 countries, developing a global perspective and an ability to manage complexity with calm and clarity.
In addition to her planning work, Rachel teaches certification courses within the exhibition industry, helping fellow professionals earn their CEM designation. Teaching keeps her connected to best practices, reinforces the importance of clear systems, and reflects the trust placed in her expertise.
Rachel planned her own at-home wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic, an experience that deepened her appreciation for flexibility, perspective, and grace on wedding days. With a background spanning both sales and operations, she brings a practical, steady approach to every event—serving as a trusted partner for couples and families navigating high-stakes, emotional moments.
She was named a Rising Star by Smart Meetings Magazine in 2019 and is often described as having a calm, “can’t-be-phased” presence. Last-minute changes don’t rattle her; she’s comfortable managing many moving pieces while keeping the experience organized and enjoyable.
Outside of events, Rachel enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughter, along with their two poodles, Sophia Loren and Vivien Leigh. She also volunteers as a business mentor with Empowered Women International, supporting women entrepreneurs as they build and grow their businesses.
Rachel is proud to be part of The Finer Points team and approaches every wedding with the same focus: thoughtful planning, clear communication, and a steady presence that allows couples to be fully present on their day.
What is your favorite part of a wedding?
“The details that feel personal and intentional are always the most meaningful. Whether it’s a nod to family, culture, or something uniquely ‘them,’ those choices are what make a wedding feel authentic. Seeing friends and family notice and connect with those moments is what makes the day unforgettable.”

"A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents. I should be incapable of drawing a single stroke at the present moment; and yet I feel that I never was a greater artist than now. When, while the lovely valley teems with vapour around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees,"
